·For sale is my lovely Omega Speedmaster "Speedyorite" Apollo-Soyuz 35th Anniversary Edition. It is numbered 782 of the Limited Edition run of 1975 pieces with reference 311.30.42.30.99001. This is one of the more limited Limited Edition Speedies as less than 2000 were made.
The watch is in excellent condition, though it wasn't a safe queen. I won't go quite so far as to say mint as I did wear the watch, maybe 20, 25 times since I got it. It carries a few very small dings which I have tried to highlight in the pictures, but these are pretty much imperceptible and could easily be buffed out - a decision I leave to the new owner. The bracelet is in very good shape as I put the Hircsh strap on it after wearing it with the bracelet only a handful of times. The bracelet was resized at the Swatch Group repair center in Toronto to fit my 7.25" wrist. the two extra links are of course included and can be seen in the pics. The red detailing on the dial goes really nicely with the red stitching on the Hirsch Carbon strap - which is included in the sale. The watch comes with all the goodies you'd expect - outer cardboard box cover, white outer box, a beautiful grey presentation box, manual, hang tag and warranty cards. Everything you'd expect for a special Limited Edition Speedmaster.
I bought this watch in December 2014. It was brought to North America from the UK by a trusted member and moderator who helped me source it. Since then, I have become really enamoured with vintage pieces and have decided to let this one go so that I can chase more 321's.
Some details:
* Omega Speedmaster Professional with beautiful Meteorite dial. (The dial is also from outter space and something like 4 Billion years old)
* 42 mm "moonwatch" case
* 48 hour power reserve
* saphire crystal glass
* detailed and beautiful caseback with an engraving commemorating the Apollo-Soyuz rendezvous in space
* Omega 1861 manual wind movement
* more info
* Fratello Watches review
This watch was released in 2010. It came to me with unknown service history, and I have not serviced while it has been in my care. It might be time for a 'tune up' being about 5 years old, but the watch keeps excellent time, and all the chrono features work as they should. The reset is nice and crisp and returns to zero perfectly.
The watch is currently with me in Toronto, Canada. I will ship worldwide, though would prefer a North America deal. I usually ship via ParcelPro, but we can discuss shipping and insurance issues if you have something specific in mind. It would be super to sell this to a member here on OF, I know there are LE Lovers here on the forums.
I'm asking $6,500 USD for this one, although I am open to reasonable offers. Low ball offers will be politely ignored. Payment by PayPal or Bank Wire after reasonable vetting, and the watch ships after funds have cleared. I haven't sold many watches, but I am a regular participant here on OF and I also have a good history as a buyer. Ideally, you will have some history here as well or be able to provide references from elsewhere.
I will gladly answer any questions you might have. Just PM me.
Here's a couple of references for sales I have done:
perfect transaction with oddboy (here on OF)
oddboy is a recommended seller (here on OF)
amazing deal with wus member: oddboy (WUS)
and some ebay feedback - yes, the Pebble counts as a watch.
And now for a crap ton of pictures...
