Hello fellow forum members! I would like to ask your advice regarding this piece. It was purchased in 2001 and the seller is giving it at US$1,000.00.

Do you guys think it's authentic? Any opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Authentic, yes. Looks ok to me. 1000$ is a _very_ good price, even if it needs a service.

Thanks guys. But there was a misunderstanding on my part about the price. It's actually US$2,000. I was so excited that i didn't read his message thoroughly. Oh well.

A good price, but at over 10 years old will probably require a service.

Omega will change you $710 for a service. You can probably get an AD to do it for less. In 2013 I had an AD service mine for $550.

It looks to be in great shape. For this price I think I would buy it, assuming it is in great shape and no issues mechanically. I assume no tax, and this is the price out the door?

You can hunt for a better deal, but frankly the time and energy you would spend would not make it worthwhile as it could take you many hours to find a better deal and at that the best I have seen these go for is $1500-1800, but in need of service and not the same shape as the one above.

I think no harm offering $1925.

Thank you guys and i really appreciate your thoughts on this. I will try and haggle after i meet with the seller to check the watch. Hopefully it's as good as it looks in the pictures.

If it needs service at 2k you may consider passing. That's borderline. You may be able to find a minty one for not too much more with the full kit.
