Hi all Whats people thoughts on this, I know quite a bit about Speedies but this one puzzles me, 105.12-65 case back but 105.003-65 case, movement is 25mil which would indicate 67 production year, dial looks original, bezel is nice and original but case seems over polished, crown is wrong etc, Consensus: franken??? Seller has a few Speedies for sale, 125 but with a later and wrong 1040 rotor, Speedy MKIII with an R serial movement etc, anyway, thought I would ask others opinions?
Easy work to switch casebacks. But crazy to sell like that. But, it could've been switched unwittingly on a service visit long ago? unfortunate though that may be. You may be correct on the serial!! Seems a project for the able ... Though lugs look too polished on my mobile phone
Wow, the guys seems to have come from no where with a whopping Speedy collection http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OMEGA-SPE...es_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item3ce8617912Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network 3 X straight lugs in 24 hours on top of the raft of other speedies listed, would love to know the back story!
this time its a 105-003, looks OK but radium dial which appears to have been in someones watch box for a while, wrong crown, over polished case and later bezel, interesting
25008524 Close enough but all of the watches this person is selling seem a little off, a 105.012-65 with wrong case and dial, a 105-003-65 with a radium dial, MKIII with an R serial and 125 with a number engraved rotor! mmmmhhhh
I mustve mixed it up .. item 261596739858 with a 25 million serial should have the later bridge that's asymmetrical, yes? And that screw balance/regulator doesn't match that serial, I think. just doesn't seem right.
