I am looking for the correct watch box for a Speedmaster 1978: serial no 44820522 and case no ST145022 78. The pictures of appropriate boxes, as suggested and provided by Omega, are below. Any help in obtaining the correct box or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

the box you are showing is for 69 speedy...78 box is different in my book...And should be red box if not mistaken...But you should wait for some experts opinion ..

Thank you for informing me, as debutant in this forum I was not aware of +200-post-condition - BTW : Simple Googling took me to the post of the Speedmaster box, that I still have and you are right, 1969-71 was the "moon crater epoch".

 

This is the correct box for the 1978 issued Speedmasters.

 

Thanks for sharing your '78-Speedmaster box. However, the one in question is this beautiful piece decorated with "moon crater" illustration - and yes, it dates back to around 1969-71 I just replied initially to a thread headlined "1978"... but showing a box similar to mine.

 

Incidentally, I, ( like I am sure, many others here ), enquired about the price of this box, to buy ?

( Yes, I know standard, sensible OF Selling rules, were neatly circumvented by the OP )

The response was :

That is quite an asking price for a box like that.

 

Well perhaps at the time it was posted in 2017, but now, when you added your comment, it is cheap.
