Hi there!

I’ve been offered an almost brand new 311.10.39.30.01.001 (60th Anniversary Edition Speedmaster 1957) for 5150 USD. What do you guys think? Is it good value for money and will it hold value over time? Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

There are many threads explaining that Watches are never an investment, unless you buy in auction with high five figure and above. They are, otherwise, absurd in financial movement.

A great watch with an admirable movement loses 40% within days of purchase and a normal watch with a weird cartoon on dial breaks ceiling!

Just forget financials, buy only if you like it and enjoy. If it appreciates, it's luck, otherwise you bought it only because you wanted to buy.

That's my 2 cents in this hobby.

It sounds a fair price if the condition really is very good. They seem to change hands for a few hundred more than that usually.

yup. Comes with all boxes and papers and the extra straps. Basically everything that was included when new.

Sounds like a deal. Absolutely love mine. Don’t care that I paid mrsp, don’t care if the value drops to 0, I’ll always be happy to have it.

At $5150 it a good price if it is as you say. Long term, who knows. Buy it if you like it. I enjoy mine.

Wow - just wow. Great shot. The pictures on the official website don't do this watch justice.

They seem to be holding g their value pretty well - I’ve been looking for one in Canada for a while now and they’re thin on the ground in good nick. My fave of the Trilogies and a great, distinctive Speedy.
