I am looking to do a mass sell off so that I can complete my Speedmaster Decades Collection. I want to add a solid gold Speedmaster with a solid gold bracelet. Either 1980 or 1990 era, and LE. << thanks to those of you sending leads on the gold speedies. Seems there are many in Germany, but I can't see those on my USA ebay feed>>>> I am heading out the evening of the 28th, so would like to do a deal prior to that date. I also have a -71 for sale, but not yet listed. I have been a member here for 5+ years and have sold a few watches here and there and have positive feedback here, as well as the "does this watch make me look fat forum" (search taddyangle there) and 500+ on ebay with about 50+ seller reviews. I am in San Diego, CA. I am asking $4500. OBO CONUS Please This watch was serviced by Omega in March 2015. I bought this watch on ebay 2 years ago. It was restored by Omega with a wonderful luminova dial and hand set. Fortunately when I bought the watch on ebay, a bag of old parts were included. I took the dial and the hands to the watchmaker to swap out with the luminova dial and hands. These are hi res pics, so feel free to look magnify to take a better look. Hands - It appears to me the chrono hand was repainted at some time. Case - the case is pretty sharp. It was at Omega for service, so it was polished. Dial - well this is the downer. There are two items to note. There is a scratch on the dial, the size of the chrono hand head. There is also a slight scratch on the tritium at the 5 o'clock marker (hard to see, so look). Note the one pic that has the chrono set to 57 second marker, it is hiding the scratch. Case back - there is a scratch, not to point out the obvious, but it is there.
Killer price & great seller. Have dealt with Bernard recently. What else could you ask for? GLWS. Cheers Thomas
$4000 - I am heading out for vacation soon and would like to get this sold before I leave on the Jan 4th. The hunt for the gold speedy is becoming more real, so please keep passing on the leads. I missed an awesome 1980s gold speedy based in Germany and was not able to bid because I was in the US and it was only EU shipping. I really wanted this one, and bummed I missed it.
Withdrawn. Since buying the -71 12+ months back, I was on the fence about doing a dial swap. I never really wanted to sell it, but I could not get over the scratch in the dial. Last week I had the watchmaker swap the -71 dial with this one. Thanks to those that made offers, and for not the fact I was going on vacation and the buyer did not want to wait, it would have been sold. This one will now be moved to the Decades Collection. I love the look and it is a pleasure to wear.
