You're looking at an Omega Speedmaster Split-Seconds Automatic Chronometer Chronograph reference 3540.50.00, in very good condition, a few swirls on the clasp, but it looks to have not been worn much.

I bought it from the original owner through eBay, and then met to take it off his hands face to face in September 2016. He works in finance in the City of London, and is very very into Rolex. He told me this was an impulse purchase in duty free somewhere between 2005 and 2009, and that he hadn't worn it much. As far as I could understand, mostly because it wasn't a Rolex. So it had sat in a box, and he was moving it on as it was taking up room in the safe.

This model was introduced at Basel in 1999 and released in 2001 - AJTT shows a little over 6000 movements produced, which would tie in with the claimed figure of 5000 watches sold.

I'm not sure exactly when/where this was sold, or which year it was produced in, but have emailed Omega Customer Service in the hope of a little more information.

This is a full set, on full length bracelet, including new genuine Omega Red Box, Outer white box, card holder (bought from the Sloane Square OB last year), all three cards (unstamped guarantee, pictogram, chronometer), and the correct set of operating instructions.

I've worn it and enjoyed it, but realise that I've maybe over indulged in the last few months and need to free up some funds.

Reduced to £1,995.00 net to me.

Watch is located in London, UK - face to face viewing is welcome - lots of people here know me, and will vouch that I'm not a total loon (I hope).

I saw this at the GTG in the fruits' house. It's a very impressive thing and in great condition, but made for a man with a larger wrist.

A selection of wrist shots from my WRUW posts... this is not a small watch, but it wears really nicely.

    Knitwear not included...

I'd love to take this off your hands but with three purchases in the last month or so, I just can't.

That dial is something special and, let's face it, everyone needs a split seconds. GLWS.

I'm very surprised this is still available. It's a very impressive watch.
