For sale an almost as new condition 3861 Speedmaster 310.30.42.50.01.002, which I obtained as part of a trade. The perfect opportunity to get a very wearable and as-new Speedmaster at a much better price. After the latest price hike, the RRP of this watch is 8900 EUR (Netherlands). The watch has been worn and shows some subtle signs of that. I have only worn it on a strap and - allegedly - so has the previous owner.

If you are looking for a brandnew piece, this is not your watch... Then again, if you look for a wonderfully wearable Speedy; please do read on!

I have given this new reference another chance after parting with it earlier as I really like the aesthetics, like the applied logo, 105.012-style pushers and hands, the display back and the very comfortable bracelet. In the meantime, I have had to conclude that I still like my vintage Speedmasters (and some modern LE's) better, hence this Speedmaster gets too little wear and is ready to make space for new vintage acquisitions.

Please find an assessment of the watch below. I have attempted to be as brutally honest as can be.

The good: A gorgeous watch with the Chronometer certified 3861 movement ready to be admired behind the display caseback. As new, no major scratches or dents. One very tiny dent which is highlighted below and some subtle strap changing marks. Runs perfectly. Comes full set, even including the hang tag, plastic coffin, outer box and polishing cloth which I should have used prior to picturing it :D and of course the full length bracelet. The watch was originally delivered by an authorised dealer in the Netherlands (receipt included) in mid-2022.

The bad: One very minor dent in the high gloss area of the top left lug, which I have highlighted in the pictures below. Next to that, some hairline scratches on the clasp and case back. Other than that, the watch is completely as new. The last minor downside; the clasp of the bracelet does not yet come with the quickset which was introduced later.

The Set: Comes as a full set including outer box, inner box, three (warranty) cards, book, hangtag, plastic coffin and spare links.

Shipped worldwide, although I would strongly prefer a F2F deal in the Netherlands given the value of this piece and the added benefit of meeting a fellow OF-member in person.

No returns, please ask questions and extra pictures in advance. I am not making a habit out of selling, but I do have some - exclusively positive - references as a seller and buyer on this forum and could share more.

References and Linkedin profile available upon request.

Price: €5950 (OBRO, net to me)

    What’s a listing without a wrist shot…?

Whilst this watch packs all the perks of a modern piece, it’s still got the strap monster appeal of its vintage siblings. ;)

Weekend deal; only this weekend for just 5800 EUR.

If not sold by April 8th EoD, I’ll be withdrawn and I’ll make it my GADA watch. Shouldn’t be a sacrifice either, I guess. ;)
