Hi Guys Picked up this watch yesterday. Any thoughts from you? Case has engraved a 3 behind one lug and mouvement has no serial.
A similar one was sold at Christies https://www.christies.com/lotfinder/Lot/omega-a-very-fine-and-rare-stainless-5945152-details.aspx (which I expect you have seen). However, the Christies one had case and movement signed, and clearly different colours. Without an extract from yours, its possible we will never know its provenance and in fact a dial was for sale here https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-speedmaster-50-prototype-dial-ref-11000.50426/.
Yes i have seen both. Mine has a handengraved 3 behind one lug…christies had a 162. So mine is probably earlier which could explain the other hand color. Inner caseback has 11000. Mouvement is missing the round plate with serial.
So that is an optimistic trade offer. Speedmaster 1045 176.012 dial for pre prof. Good luck!!! I don't know much about the Tissot Navigators but a direct case swap with a 176.012 looks to be easy. The caseback reference and movement number will be key to the value. Is the 11000 ref unique to the Omega Prototype?
Caseback is plain and inside is ref 11000 engraved. I'm in touch with Omega Museum to verify next week.
