Hi to All I`m New here on your Vintage Omega Forum ,I`m a Heuer Collector and I have Bought a Omega Speedmaster Ref.105002 and my question is should the glass have a silver rehaut inside ?my watch is signed only swiss made and have a service Alpha hands. Best Amer
here some photos I recieve the Old Tachymeter with dot over the 90 and the central chronograph second Hands and I found also the original Glass with the silver rehaut still waiting of the post ofcourse I will change the Glass ,the tachy and this ugly white second Chrono Hands and put all the Original parts.
The OP's watch looks like it has been restored at an Omega approved workshop - it has service hands aged to suit, and suppled by Omega. The Chrono with its wide tail has often been fitted as an OEM replacement, and I dont like them. As the OP watch is in the 19m serial, I like to see these with Alphas.
i think nobody can tell exactly when Omega has changed from Alpha to the Sticky ones. They start with Alphas and somewhere along the production they change to the Styckis. My 105.002 with serial 19832801was produced Sept. 1963, maybe it was delivered with Alphas, maybe not....
Yes, change the chrono hand. That fat bottom one is not very nice - no offense! I think the common wisdom is that the later batch of 105.002s, in the 20,525,xxx range is when the baton hands appeared. Not gospel, but seems reasonable.
yes I will take the speedy to a specialist name zeit zone here in zurich switzerland they are the best with restore old watches, I will change the tachy put the glass with silver rehaut and change this ugly white chrono seconds hand.
Hi All hier some photos from my Omega speedmaster 105002 after a service ,I change the Bezel with the ld one ,Glas with silver rehaut and the central second chron hands ,still looking to find a set of original Hands nut think the watch look better now. Cheers Amer
