    Hi all,
What are your thoughts on the Omega Speedmaster Reduced? Ref# 3513.50?
I have someone who want to even trade with my Seiko MarineMaster 300.
I have mostly diving watches and want to expand into other something different.
Does the Reduced have a good following? Or should I get the Speedy Pro Moonwatch instead?

Do a search, the Reduced is discussed often. They are not universally popular, which is perhaps an understatement. He possibly wants out because it is time for a service.

I would go the Pro as the reduced have a piggyback chrono which is expensive to service and not as popular as the Pro.
You would have no issue with a 42mm obviously if you can rock a MM300

Would love too see your dive watches in a thread. ( we have a lot of Seiko owners on this forum and would say most have at least one )

Generally speaking the Pro is always the better option for a multitude of reasons but any of the other non-reduced options are also, the Date, MK40, Racing, Mark II, etc are all better buys while the reduced is the runt of the litter.

3513.50 is a Speedmaster date, not reduced.

It's an ETA 7750 base movement (Omega Cal. 1152) and the movement is solid and accurate if it's been looked after properly.

    Cheers, Al

Didn't check the reference just that you said reduced, as Al mentions above the Speedmaster Date which is what that is has nothing wrong with it at all.

Selling price on a 3513.50 is about 1,500. People are asking more but they sit. New in box all papers is 2,000us.

Personally as an owner of a Speedy date, Speedy Pro and a baby MM aka SKX I'd keep the MM. the Speedy date model I own is 40mm and feels small, mines a different model with I believe the same case but slightly different movement. Keep in mind I also wear 35-36mm watches all the time. And the Date never gets worn due to it feeling small.

I'm not sure you'll think the overall finishing is as high a quality as the MM. The MM is an icon. That date imho is just a nice watch. I'd wait for a speedy pro. MM's are not the easiest Watch to source at a good price either.
