Hey Omega Community,

I recently bought an Omega Speedmaster Reduced Ref. 3539.50.00 (manufacturing year 2007) and while cleaning the Bezel with a q-tip, the insert suddenly popped out, revealing that it was actually glued into the bezel ring (see pictures). My question is: are the bezel inserts on this model usually glued when assembled or friction fitted?

On another Note: I also noticed that two of the links on the Bracelet (Ref. 1471/815) have grooves while the rest of the links dont show this (See last picture). Is this abnormal?

Any Information is much appreciated!

I think I have read that they used some kind of contact cement to fasten that bezel ring. Contact cement fore dentures maybe ???

Is that the original bracelet? With those polished centre links? I dont know if your links are abnormal, but they sure are groovy! ::rimshot::

Welcome to the OF I hope you get some better answers than this later on.

I do like this Reduced model with the cleaner dial. . . always wondered if a Hesalite crystal could be fitted to one??

@Archer will likely know how the bezel and insert is constructed.
