Hello everybody, I have been looking at purchasing a Speedmaster Reduced for quite a while due to my smaller wrist size. Following some research, I have understood the high cost of servicing this movement. Nonetheless, I recently came across this local seller offering one for 1800 euros. The main points of concern are the scratched case, some slight chips, the pushers looking chipped as well, and the borderline engraved backside of the lugs. The seller states it has not been serviced since it was purchased around 20 years ago. It has no box or papers but comes with a card. He states the watch runs fine, but I take this with a pinch of salt. It also does not include a metal bracelet.

Overall, I am just looking for general guidance on whether it would even be worth it to purchase this watch or maybe wait longer for a watch in superior condition. Would the 1800 be enough to justify the condition? What would be a suitable price to justify this condition?

I would always say to price it factoring in the requirement of a service at a minimum. My philosophy is often buy the seller alongside the item. I'd personally pass on this and look for an alternative, but I'll leave it to the more tenured experts on here to give their view.

Pass on that one at 1800. These show up on Reddit Watch Exchange in basically flawless condition for that pretty frequently.
