Hi All,

New here! I recently bought the Omega Speedmaster Racing Steel on Steel (329.30.44.51.04.001) white dial. Love and it looks amazing.

This is the watch:

My only problem with it is that out of all the dials for that particular model, the white dial is the only one that does not have "LiquidMetal". So now am really torn in two places, either return the watch or just live without having liquid metal. All the other dial colours am not a fan of.

And this is the rest:

Any thoughts on the importance of Liquid Metal? Is it worth having? Long term? Resale value etc?
All the above watches are valued at the same price.

Kind Regards and Thanks in Advance.

Doesn't LiquidMetal refer to the bezel on these watches? I don't think it means anything value wise. If you like the white dial version that's what you should get. You get a ceramic bezel with the numbers filled with white enamel instead of a ceramic bezel with LiquidMetal numbers. No biggie to me. Nice watch.

Thank you Evitzee for the feedback and the information. I do like the white dial just disappointment it does not have the liquid metal... just because hehe...

Also thanks for the compliment...

Omega has abandoned LiquidMetal in their bezels, so it really isn’t a big deal. Really, unless you are talking about the original LiquidMetal Planet Ocean Limited edition, no one really cares. You love the watch. Nothing else matters.

I think the first two quotes sum it up haha. Returning a watch you love for one you won't (love), just so you could have a small design detail that won't improve functionality of the watch, would likely leave you feeling worse off, than if you just kept the white dial and enjoyed it, like you currently do.

I have the same watch and love it every time I put it on. I'm not 100% sure but I thought the liquid metal was a bezel thing too?

But it's just a phenomenal watch for me.... great look, size, weight..... great watch overall and I think you'd be really happy too if you keep it!

You have a better bezel.

Omega somehow thought writing Tachymetre in a different colour would look good.

But, it doesn’t.

You made the right choice IMHO.
The white dial is the pick of the litter , so to speak.
