I am about to buy my first Omega watch. Is it true that you cannot see the year of production on the papers?
The seller is a company from Japan. The watch is described as new, with box and papers.
They claim that you cannot see the year of production from the papers
The sale is via Chrono24.

Who's the seller? I just got back from Tokyo last week and you can look on the Rakuten Japan to view the seller and hence find the company's website. Google translate is definitely required though.

I took a look but unfortunately cannot find the exact company/website outsides of C24 for this watch sale.

Is it true that you cannot see the year of production on the papers?

Correct. There is no date of production on the “papers” IE warranty card. IF there is a date at all, it will be the date of original sale.
