I promised Mrs Repo when I put my full deposit down on the new Snoopy watch that I would sell some watches to cover that cost. Although I truly regret making that agreement, I gave my word, so there it is - with a heavy heart I put up for sale one of my Omega Speedmaster Professional "Tintin" racing editions, reference 311.30.42.30.01.004 Price has now been reduced to $3250 OBRO (was $3350) shipped insured CONUS (private message me if you are outside CONUS to arrange for shipping). RJ Broer wrote a nice background on the piece here: http://www.fratellowatches.com/speedy-tuesday-omega-speedmaster-pro-tintin/. I will add some additional information I heard from an Omega representative - this piece is not a limited or special edition, but, there were a limited number of movements allocated to this piece (fewer than in some other "limited edition" Speedmasters), and once its gone its gone. The story on this watch is that I bought it from the original owner last year, he purchased it new from Sterling Jewelers and barely wore it before selling it to me. My master plan was to give one of my Tintin's to my son, and to keep this one for me. I haven't worn this watch since purchase. The watch is 100% complete and in excellent overall condition. I had my local Omega boutique do a full examination of this watch, and they verified it to be 100% original, and in excellent overall working condition. This comes with the inner and outer Omega boxes (the inner red box is in perfect condition), International Warranty card dated 10/25/13 (still under Omega factory warranty), Pictogram card, hang tag and original sales price tag, Omega microfibre towel, and manual. Bracelet is a 1958 with 957 endlinks, complete with all 14 links included. The pictures tell the story, there are some very minor marks on the bracelet clasp and a mark on the bottom edge of the side case, but I elect to leave the watch in original unpolished condition. I prefer Paypal (gift, or add 3%), or bank wire.
" I am not entirely motivated to sell this watch " That's going on the quote list. Brilliant Good luck with the sale - a future classic
I can vouch for the watch; I have one and love wearing it! This is a good price for what will likely be a collectors item in the near future. GLWS!
The TinTin is a great little watch and one that I haven't seen much of in the wild. Jump on this one fellas! Max
Didn't he already buy the snoopy? Still looking forward to the incoming on that. Looking forward to what Taddyangle has in the works tooo!
With as poorly as Omega is managing clients lately, they'll probably forget about my pre-order on that Snoopy. Taddy's incoming is a good one assuming all goes well
Close. I still do at some point want to get a real Apollo 35th and there was one in Singapore, but no. It is what you think it is...
I should be watch broke too after the Apollo 13 but if a nice Gemini IV comes along, it's going to be hard to get away from it . Max
