I have recently purchased the mentioned watch, model 145.014. I am looking for the original strap for it. I have found a few places that can supply, but the pricing is excessive. Can anyone advise me where I can get it cheaper?

Have you tried ebay? Just typed in Omega straps and got over 1,000 results. Might take some digging but probably the cheaper than a retail shop.
The MK2 is a bit of a different beast in that its got a semi-integrated bracelet (really it just tucks under the case). I'm pretty sure when he said strap he meant bracelet because a MK2 on a strap would look very odd indeed.
You are quite correct. I've seen the Mark II on an Omega strap though. Similar to bracelet in that it tapered down. Had the flange or notch or whatever. Check the Chuck Maddox site. Pretty sure I saw it there on a racing model.
Yea I know what you mean, I've seen a Flightmaster on leather too, it just sort of reminds me of a large woman wearing a very small thong

Gentleman, Thank you for the assistance. I agree on the thong!!! Just bought a leather strap for now, still not happy, need the bracelet for it. Will do my research from the suggestions. I am also looking for the orange face version to refurbish. Anyone have one to sell at a decent price?
