WYO_Watch
·OF - I am sitting for the Bar (law) in two weeks and would love to not be thinking about an empty bank account (well or wife telling me about it).
I believe this is a great example of a vintage Speedy powered by the infamous cal 861. I will spare you the particulars about how great Speedmaster are and attempt to accurately describe watch.
The dial is in great shape with light toning on the markers. Case and bracelet have minimal surface scratches. Hardly a desk dive scratch on the buckle, which should indicate overall condition. Bezel is also free from major distractions. Serial number 48,2**,*** (covered out of respect for the new owner) places this Speedy circa 1993.
Comes complete with original stamped warranty card, instruction manual, Omega booklet, Omega leather holder, red case, and outer box. The 1498/840 bracelet is also complete with the extra links in the box.
Watch is functioning as it should - keeping great time and the chronograph is resetting properly. I was told by the previous owner that the watch was serviced in 2015, but I have nothing to verify that, so consider it unserviced. The watch was not sold until 1999 and appears to have had a very easy life.
I have owned a few Speedies and this one wins the cake for being the most original. I just bought a great example of a 145.0022 from a forum member, and honestly can't afford to keep both. By process of elimination, this one has to go because it will free up more funds.
Ask questions, post comments, shoot me PMs. I have been a member of this forum for over 6 months, learned a lot, but still have a lot to learn. I have purchased a few things here: Speedmaster (https://omegaforums.net/threads/zero-worries-selling-to-wyo_watch.60551/#post-754152) and a numbered Moonwatch Only book. I also have a reference as a seller (https://omegaforums.net/threads/micah-aka-wyo_watch-is-good-to-go.57449/#post-710459). I have also sold plenty of watches on Facebook and eBay with 100% feedback.
I am asking $3,650 and accept PayPal f&f or regular with references so long as you cover the fee. The buyer can also choose method/timelines of shipment.
Thanks for the space
