Hello to all Omega Speedmaster Professional owners.

I am looking for the current owner of this Omega Speedmaster.

Your chances of discovering who owns this particular watch is very, very slim. But good luck.

How would you find it, there’s no identifying information like a serial number, etc ?

There is no identifying information about the watch, as noted above, "9 740" is meaningless without the rest of the serial number. And since you have not introduced yourself or provided any context, why would anyone willingly volunteer any information to you? We don't know what you motivation is.

Hello everyone. This Omega Speedmaster belonged to my father in the 80s. I found this warranty card and also a replacement bezel ring for this watch. I would have liked to give the card to the current owner of the watch. It is part of history and history. If I bother you with my request, just delete it. It's just meant to be friendly.

You aren’t a bother. The info you added makes your search more meaningful and understandable. I can relate as I too have papers with a complete serial I’d like to see returned to an owner…

It’s just, what you (and I) want to do will be nearly impossible. Even with a complete serial number.

Unfortunately the serial number which is the unique identification number for each watch is missing several numbers. A speedmaster serial number is generally 8 numbers in length, and based on the Werk Nr given I suspect the these are the last 4 digits. So we cannot even tell the year of manufacturing from that.

Was a nice idea but without a lot more info I think this is ambitious. And even then apart from a very small number of people most don't ever give their watch a second thought.

Thank you for making the effort though, I know I'd love to be reunited with bits and pieces for my vintage watches.
