A lot of talk about Speedy pro here, but I just wanted to give my take.

Now I've had a few watches over the years, but this one has a very special sentimental meaning to me. I've had cheaper watches, more expensive watches, more special ones, but the Speedy Pro will always be my favorite and every time I look at the dial it will remind me of the good times (this is the sentimental part).

And it's the only watch I have that I don't really care what the value will be in the next years, as long as I have a roof on top of my head and my health, this one stays put. People call it the ultimate classic, and they are right. For more than 50 years the design hasn't changed one bit and it's one of those strap tragics that goes well with everything. Well enough about it, here are some shots/wristshots, hope you like them.

Well, in the middle of the night you can sneak over to your watch box and, if you're lucky, you may hear a choir.

 

Fantastic shots. Most watch owners have probably tried a few watch shots so we know it is a lot harder than it looks. You nailed it.

Agree with your sentiment also. My modern speedy is my watch. It's what I wear and what the kids see me wear. Good to have a collection but you got to have that one goto watch.

Still don't like NATOs though. Like the colors, material is okay, just think they are both too flimsy and bulky in the wrong places at the same time. Maybe some day i will come around but not yet. Do like leather, crocodile, aged saddle, something with a bit more thickness between the lugs. Of course, can't go wrong with converse. As we used to say when I was a kid, "don't get the kinda sneakers that slip and crack, get the sneakers that say converse on the back." (Seemed cooler back then.)
