Does it follow that all 1969 Speedmaster pre-moon with cal. 861 movement have step dials and DON bezels or did some really came with non-step dials and non-DON bezels?

All have step dials, later serial -69 comes with DNN bezels. Another incoming from the watch agent? :)

Not really. I have one which I bought 2 years ago with a step dial and a ghost DNN bezel so I just want to confirm its originality.

Sounds legit, maybe sharing some more photos of the watch here will help? Your serial should be in the 30m-31m range.

The usual cutoff is 30.5 million. The best way to check is ordering Archives Extract via an Omega Boutique or online (Outside USA).
If the watch production dates through first half of 1970 (DO90), fall of 1970 (DO90 or 220), winter 1970 onwards (DN90).

    Cheers,
