    Hi All,

I am no way a expert in this model, but a possibility in a local trade/sell website appeared.

Can you please give me your opinion on this watch?

Seller identifies himself as the granddaughter of original owner who bought this around 40 years ago.

No box, papers or anything else rather than the watch.

No value defined, and open to offers.

    Lousy pictures

    Is this any worth?

    Thanks for your help,

    João

Is the camera from 1980 too??...

Would love to comment on the originality of the piece but two problems:

    1. There are folks here vastly more qualified than I am to do so.
    2. Truly can't see jack with those pictures. I strongly encourage you to have her send you some better photos or bring it to an in-person meeting and you take them yourself. Then report back!

Never know, could be an honest deal on a great watch, but always prudent to be cautious

As others have said, hard to know from the pictures. Nothing jumps out as wrong, but I am far from a true expert. It has a tritium dial which is appropriate for the suspected age. Speedmaster 101 is a great source on 1978 and earlier Speedmasters, this may be a -78. It would be stamped on the inside of the case back.

    See:

It certainly would need and deserve a service ($750-$1000 in the US). To me the watch has potential, and worth further investigation depending on price.

As mentioned, definitely need much better pics to get anywhere near a value.

The lack of bracelet will bring it down as they’re not cheap to replace.

The watch looks legit, though the pictures are poor indeed.

But the watch is either not 40 years old or dial and bezel were replaced later on.

    A movement shot would help.

Not if it's taken with the same camera.

Looks like a Speedmaster from the 90's
The dial, bezel caseback are 100% sure not from 40 years ago.

    Hi guys
    Thanks for all your help.
Seller doesn't reply to my contacts
    Better let it go.
I expected this to be from the 70's or 80's with Lemania movement, but probably not.
    Thanks for all your inputs
