For sale comes an uncommon Speedmaster. One of the very late 105.012s produced in 1967.

It is a bit different from the "regular" 105.012 so let's go through the differences.

The dial and the hands are pristine. Exactly as I love them. No signs of aging, very light yellow lume - super fresh. Obviously Tritium.

The bezel is a DON. Worn and partially faded. Some scratches and some dings. Photos are good enough to assess. Bezel condition reflected in the asking price.

The case has some signs of wear but has been very gently worn. No major scratches or damages. The crystal obviously hesalite, with the Ω logo in the center. Visible on photos.

Flat feet crown, obviously. Now let's talk about specialties. The pushers are regular pushers you'd find on a 145.012. My theory about that and the other specialties below.

The movement is super clean, no marks, no scratches. Runs perfectly - no service required atm according to my watchmaker. The caseback is particular. It is stamped 105.012-65 inside (exactly like the Extract from the Archives) but another reference has been added : 145.012 SP.

The case back is blank outiside there is no Seahorse on it. I have no explanation on this, I used to start a thread on this topic but we didn't come to a common conclusion. Nevertheless, I have seen three different blank casebacks and all three of them have double-reference as this one. One of them belongs to an Omega Heritage team member, so we could compare our watches one to one.

The caseback has a double bevel like you'd expect to see on a 105.012 which is in line with the marking inside as well as the reference according to the Extract from the Archives.

Now my theory on that. I believe late in 1967 Omega used the last 105.012 movements and cases that they modded to the current model (145.012) specs by installing the high pushers. This would explain the 145.012 SP added inside the caseback. Why those casebacks have no Seahorse engraving, I have no idea. Nor has the Heritage team afaik.

Finally the strap is the "Sable" leather strap from Molequin. It matches quite well the fresh lume color and the white stitches recall the white hands. I like this combo but we can discuss other options if you don't. Simply ask me ;-)

Terms and conditions : 10000 CHF / 10200 USD / 9150 EUR / 8300 GBP wired directly to my Transferwise account for the watch on the leather strap + Extract from Omega Archives. FedEx shipping with (third-party) insurance included.

The watch and I are in Switzerland, and so I will accept a wire directly to my Swiss bank account, however that will be in CHF, and will thus cost you conversion and transfer fees. I don't like PayPal but if you want to pay their F&F fees, I'll gladly accept. I use Transferwise as it saves you on these fees, and is a local transaction for us both. More currencies are available upon request. Returns are accepted only if grossly misrepresented. You will get what you see in these pictures which are of a decent quality and high resolution, so I don't believe there is any chance of misrepresentation. Since I own the watch I'm selling, feel free to ask for special details or angles you want to see better, prior buying.

I am a private collector and will set the post OHPF after getting the first PM saying "I will buy this watch now at your price". Then we can discuss the options for Shipping. Face to face always welcome, I value meeting people.

I have dozens of transactions with only positive feedbacks here as well as outside Omega Forums - can link you with several happy buyers worldwide, on request.

All criticisms about the watch are welcome.

Thanks ΩF for the space 👍

I forgot to mention about the DON bezel and the hesalite crystal. 😟 Description updated.

Photo made this morning in my car, in a natural morning light, on a racing leather strap.

Finally managed to capture the lume color closer to how it really is - it’s super hard to capture this light yellow on photos with the iPhone camera 😟
