I just purchased this Mark III and will venture into the space of this behemoth on my wrist. From what I've read it will be a 1973 model due to the dial. I'll check the serial number when it arrives. Crazy. Screen Shot 2017-04-15 at 5.14.51 PM.png Screen Shot 2017-04-15 at 5.15.05 PM.png

I am a big fan as well. I like the blue dial version a bit better. But great watch you bought. Looks pretty sharp still. Enjoy it!

It arrived today and it is amazing. Tall and fabulous. Serial is 34243546 with Movement 1040. From 1973 I believe due to dial and I think the serial number puts it there as well. Appears very clean. No service record but the back came off smooth like a watch that has seen a service. I'll save a bit and send it off I'm sure.
I compared it on the wrist to a G Shock Rangeman.

Wonderful piece! Wear it in good health!

I have tried on the II, III, and 4.5. The MKIII felt great on my wrist, but I was always nervous about slamming it into any and everything. I have a hard enough time with my thinner dress watches ::censored::
