Aussie Jim
·This beautifully modded Speedmaster was created in 2018 by Adam Lewis( @photo500) at Lewiswatchco.
I have worn it only a handful of times since then and the watch presents in as-new condition. Adam has put a Lemania 1875 movement with an Omega bridge into a new Omega case, with new Omega dial and hands.
I comes with inner and outerbox and instruction manual. That it has come from Adam means that you can warrant that all parts are authentic Omega. He has indicated that he would be happy to authenticate the watch with any prospective buyer
The strap is an Omega "Snoopy" style cordura with deployant clasp, in near new condition.
It is a lovely looking watch that unfortunately just did not sing to me as I had hoped.
I would like $A5750 (about US$ 4450and Euro 3700 including postage in Australia (Express Parcel Auspost). International shipping and insurance to be discussed, but best guess is about $A 50-75 on top of that.
To provide some clarity about the movement and also photos from the maker:
From Adam: The movements were NOS Lemania 1874 fitted with the Omega bridges, which makes them the same as the Omega 1863 in rhodium. They were NOS Lemania service movements so did not have an Omega serial number. Hope this helps. It makes no difference in terms of servicing. The only physical difference is that on the mainplate of the movement it says 1874 with the Lemania symbol rather than 1863 with the Omega symbol and the chronograph clutch has a bush not a jewel on its visible wheel. If you were to purchase it I would be able to offer a change to the Omega plate and bushing for a jewel at the first service for a discounted rate. Back then I had access to Omega parts but not for everything and the manipulate was something I couldn’t get.
