Hello all, I purchased an Omega Speedmaster stainless steel and gold. I have looked everywhere for references or any information of it and I could not find anything. I was given this information by the seller: SPEEDMASTER 1989 - 1995 DE LUXE 3592.50.00 Serial# 1352725 According to the seller the watch was manufactured in the 90s. The watch was serviced by Omega by the previous owner. He did not have the original box or cards. He only had the watch and service case provided by Omega. Is this watch legit?
Its legit. This is the reference 175.033 and is supposed to have a gold bezel, so the bezel on this is a service replacement; check to see if the hands are luminova replacements as well. Also that case is severely overpolished!
Hi thank you for the feedback. According to the seller Omega Polished it back to original condition. He sent it to them and they replaced the pushers, bezel, gaskets, stems and pushers. The old ones were included in the sale. Would you know what one of these is worth?
A quick google search shows that is not the correct ref number. Polishing is fine but this watch case has lost all of its original shape and finish due to overpolishing. I am not entirely sure about the values for these but being a 'speedmaster reduced' model it is not as collectible/desirable. Ballpark values can be found by looking up 'last sold' values from eBay or other auction sites. What is the price being offered?
I don’t understand why Omega would polish it the way it is. The paperwork from Omega even states “your watch has been serviced and returned to factory specifications”
That’s a lot of dough for a two tone Speedy Reduced. Particularly if as suggested above the original gold bezel has been swapped. Not my idea of a good deal. The seller misled you, that is not a full size or Pro model, those fetch more.
This appears to be a ref. 33145000 with an incorrect bezel. The bezel is still available, so if Omega actually put this right, then someone swapped the bezel after likely.
All thank you for the feedback. You guys are awesome and prevented me from making an expensive mistake.
I had a feeling that something was wrong with that purchase. I could not find anything that looked like it. When I told the seller that the stuff he said did not match he caught an attitude. I believe he may have another Speedmaster he had serviced and used the paperwork from the other Speedmaster in attempt to sell his Frankenstein Speedmaster. Since the serial number is in the inside of the case it would be hard to verify. Please stay away from this individual on eBay rhinersonr
