Spectacular watch.

This is one of those watches which even if you have the $$$ lying around, you can't necessarily own one. It must be bestowed upon you by the universe.
Thank you, and yes I absolutely agree, its so rare that I feel I was meant to own this watch.::psy::

That is a sick watch congratz on this
Thank you!

On another note, any idea how to post a video of this watch here? It's an 84MB video file. I believe a video will show a better look of this piece.

Mostly still a mystery, but am leaning towards the fact that these were made in batches or prototypes, replaced when in service in Omega. Tried for an extract but came up blank.

amazing watch and find. . .curious about this though. i think originally omega wouldn't confirm racing dials as factory produced but now do provide extracts. they wouldn't provide an extract for this watch ? i wonder what their record shows for this serial/movement # ?

i thought i read that service dial was the most likely explanation

That really is a stunner, just goes to show I guess that it's always worth an ask.

Hoping one day Omega, says something about these dials.

Got really scared after I posted the above, maybe we need to hide threads about lovely Speedmasters from Omega?

I love those dials and that is one of the reasons I love vintage Speedmasters, each one of those watches is unique. I know some people like a vintage watch to be as original as possible but to me a tropical dial fulfills two of the things I look for, it is attractive and at the same time evidences the age of the watch.
