Hi everyone, new here! I wanted to get peoples opinions on this? Re-lumed and not-original bezel, but still looks quite good to me..? Would appreciate some other opinions though if possible! https://www.watchcollecting.com/for-sale/1966-omega-speedmaster
good point you are aware in particular on the relumed indecis and and changed bezel as disclosed, and which two are critical parts of this type speedy. originality is key any vintage collection especially if it will account for a considerable amount. it seems that there are bids placed already. you have not expressed any intention to join the bid though.
Crown is incorrect for that reference If have doubts if the lower pusher is corret Will probably need a service (Chrono creep) As stated above wrong bezel will reduce the value Two stains on the minute subdial
Still waiting to see, I think the price point at the moment is reflecting it's imperfections - it's still a good looking watch though not all correct - a little tempted but not quite sure yet!
Thank you for this! What kind of crown would be correct? Sorry if these are silly questions, a novice here!
No problem, correct is a "flat feet" crown like that: with 24 teeth If you haven't doen already check out https://speedmaster101.com/
Isn't the seller Fat Tony who is a member on here? I'm not being personal, that is his screen name. Nice relume job, if a bit too uniform. I wonder who did it.
twisted bombe lugs. The case is in good vintage condition, with the correct crown attached. The caseback retains an Omega hippocampus and is engraved on the inside. Wrong! and hope it is attached either correct or not. UK Buyers: 6% (including VAT), minimum fee £600 Oooouch!
