Here goes my first vintage Speemaster sale ever. Let me start by saying that if I didn't want to fund a project not related to watches, I would never sell this piece.
I got it on eBay, from the first owner who sold it via a jewelry shop (who had no idea how to take a nice picture).
Anyway, here is a short description.
Overall: I believe it's not only fully correct but also 100% original. The watch is the most beautiful Ed White I've seen with my own eyes.
Dial & hands: they're the strongest part of the watch, reacts perfectly to UV lamp & white light. Edges of the subdials are brownish, but the dial isn't (yet).
DON: it's there, and although its not perfect, it fits perfectly on the watch (has a couple of scratches, more visible on the pictures than in real life).
Case: it has been polished once by the jeweler who sold it 😀o) but the facets are still visible (see closeup) and the case is very thick.
Crystal, Crown & pushers: original, crystal has the narrow feet logo.
Movement: 24,53m is in range and looks very clean, it works great (keeps good time & chrono works well) but a service would not hurt obviously. I haven't asked for an extract because I'm 100% confident in the provenance, but I can buy one for you & ship it when I receive it. I didn't take this picture, the guy I got it from did, as I didn't want to damage the caseback whilst opening it.
Price: it's in the title, I don't want to trade it but I'll be listening to any serious offer.
I live in Paris but will be in Munich, Barcelona and not far from Amsterdam shortly, so F2F in these places will be possible. Otherwise I can arrange for insured shipping at no additional cost.
