Good luck! The -74/76 dial is not common as a part. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one for sale. It’s a minor font difference from the -78 through mid 80’s. Specifically the height of the S in speedmaster. It might take awhile if no member has one stashed away. Plus daily eBay searches of all speedy dials listed. Odds are It’s not going to be marked as a -74 or -76.

You might be better of with a relume or slightly later dial. Or it would be a good candidate for a mod. You could even go stepped 861 (non aml)... which do pop up and are identical except for the step and theoreticaly allowed on the -74. It’s looks slightly cooler with the step imho.

    Hi,
Been busy this morning and only just saw your comment on my wanted to buy ad for the 74 Speedmaster dial. Thought I would put it out there to see what was available and as you pointed out it could be quite a long process. There is the guy in the UK James Hyman you say who does great reluming of these dials as I have seen a couple of members through searching the forum who have used him before and are pretty dam good.
I think you're probably going to get a stepped dial before this particular 74 dial going by searching around the internet. It's about the cost factor as well. Many thanks for all your input and help too with the dial and watch. Cheers Russell.

Applied metal dial. The Omega logo is in metal not printed, these are found in 321 and very very early 145.022-69 with the 861.

It’s possible one will show up on eBay but your going to have to hand check each dial for the correct speedmaster font.

I am all about keeping everything correct with my watches as per font etc so will keep an eye out... it's just a shame that the lume is not in the best shape. I have emailed James Hyman but still haven't had a reply.
    Cheers Russell.
