    Hello,

I have a question about the Speedmaster Pro and hope you can help me.

    I bought two of them - a 311.33.42.30.01.001 and a 311.33.42.30.01.002.
The first has a 77... serial number, the second one has a 87... sn.

I have compared both and found a slight but visible difference in the case.
The polished area/edge on the .001 is smaller as on the .002 with the higher serial number.

    Both I bought new.

Do you know why there is the difference? Do a human the grinding and polishing?
Or is that because Omega changed the grinding over the years?

I am happy with both but I am interested also in every detail of my watches :)

Thank you a lot for a reply!

    Regards

My guess is that it's the quality control of Omega's case supplier.

I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to clarify for reference. The final number in the model reference (specifically, PIC - product identification code) is the 'sequence number'. The difference between the .001 and .002 is that the .002 is the new model with presentation case. Someone else may be able to clarify further, but this appears to be the only difference.
