    Hi,

This clasp came on my Speedmaster Mark iv but the bracelet was not Omega.

Does anyone know if this is likely to be original? It doesn't have Omega stamped on the inside like the ones I've seen online.

    Thanks,

    Tim

The buckle may be Omega but the hinge certainly isn't.

Thanks, sorry, what's the difference between the buckle and the hinge? Is the buckle just the piece with the brushed finish and Omega stamp and the hinge is the 2 shinier pieces, one of which has the stainless steel stamp (in the second image)? It's on what is possibly a Tissot bracelet.

The hinge is the two flat parts that fold, the buckle is the part that has the Omega symbol embossed on it.

The part on top is called a "clasp cover", in case you need that information.

Yes just the outer part with the Omega logo is original. The bracelet probably broke, someone bought a replacement and just switched the outer section of the clasp so the bracelet looked like an Omega one.

Thanks David, yes, that makes sense. Upon further research, it looks like the clasp back isn’t original to the watch as it has polished lines along the top. Thanks again!
