    Hi

I found the following watch on a auction. What is confusing me are all the different version of watches with engravings “Apollo XI 1969”. As well I’m a bit confused regarding the “ST145.02278” engraving, as I thought this watches were created in the 80s.
    Is this watch legit?

    thx for the help

Looks off to me. Is the serial blurred out or is it non-existent. Also, this should most definitely have a tritium dial. Bezel is too modern. And lastly, the case back is off as well.

I think this thing's a total franken - -78 case. Apollo XI 25th caseband from 1994 (Or could be 20th, still from 1989). Dial and bezel from a 3570.50 onwards, 1998 and newer. Add to that the blank bridge, and I'd stay far away from this one.

There are several different versions of the case markings, one for the american market which is numbered xxxx/2000, one for the german market, i believe and a non numbered version. There is an article on Fratello watches that explains all the varients. Not sure if the link works https://www.fratellowatches.com/overview-omega-speedmaster-apollo-xi-models/ but a quick google seach will help you find it.
