路The hour sub dial is not advancing at all, it just sits at 12, and when I pull the crown out to advance the time, the balance wheel speeds way up. Any ideas???

The second issue is the tightness of the cannon pinion.
The hour recorder not driving is likely due to the friction spring for the drive pinion on the barrel. Any competent watchmaker can service the watch and solve these problems for you.
