Hi OF This listing continues the offering of pieces from my very small "collection" to fund a car restoration where the build estimates keep getting bigger...this unique watch is a masterclass in Omega watchmaking capability and innovation from Adam Lewis (Lewis WatchCo). Sidenote: Adam restored cars before he took up watchmaking as a profession, so it's perhaps fitting that his creation might enable an engine rebuild ... For anyone not familiar with Adam's work, he's a fully OMEGA certified vintage servicing specialist with access to the full OMEGA parts catalogue. In the car world a restomod is a "vintage/classic vehicle that has been restored and modified with newer features - a seamless combination of the old and new." Nothing could better describe this Speedmaster - a restomod of the watch world... It's obviously not a 105.012 or a 145.012 - but it has all of their parts with modern twist (and ability to wear rain or shine!) Vintage and period service/new parts have been crafted into a stunning watch that absolutely lives up to the unique label. It has the heart and soul of a 321-powered late 60s Speedmaster, the look and feel of a Pre-Moon '68 Ultraman (albeit one with a 2018 ST Ultraman DON bezel...), and the same waterproofness and everyday wearability of a new Speedmaster. Aside from a 'desk dive' swirl on the clasp, there are no scratches, dings or dents. The specifications are: Movement: Calibre 321 manual winding chronograph; serial number 25.442.056 Dial: 321/67 service stepped dial with applied logo Bezel: ST Ultraman DON Hands: 67 service hands with orange chrono Lume: ZnS (it glows...) Case and case back: Pre Moon; case back with orange enamel fill (NOTE: some wear with the enamel fill as shown in the final pic...) Crystal: Hesalite with black tension ring Crown: 50th Anniversary with tube (it's waterproof!!) Bracelet: Forstner brushed flat link with Omega clasp and 633 end links The 321 movement dates to around 1967 and was completely rebuilt with combination of service and NOS parts to be as close to 'new' condition as it's possible to get, with finishes on the case matching how it would have left the factory... Priced at USD 8,750 (or market equivalent in any major currency that I can accept through Wise.com) and which includes shipping via Fedex or DHL to your door. I can arrange to ship through a 'trusted friend'/OF collector in NYC so any CONUS buyer can receive the watch as if you purchased it in the US... I have feedback here on the forum as both buyer and seller and can provide other references (as a buyer) if needed. I have represented the watch to the best of my knowledge as the 'original' owner but please note anything seen as needing correction and contact me with questions.
This is a very cool watch done by someone who knows their stuff, Adam's workmanship is top notch and his mods are well thought out. And price is very fair for a completely restored 321 with these mods. GLWS
Was just asked for a shot of the caseback; thought it was in the listing but missed it somehow... Adam's pic as completed the build...
Bump with additional photo in listing to show some wear in the caseback orange enamel fill which only just noticed in responding to an enquiry...
