Hi All, Up for sale is my 2998-61. I just bought an apartment in Hong Kong and it needs a renovation so one of the herd has to go. I purchased this watch at the begining of the year and its time to pass it on to its next owner. Serial number: 19584396 which is in the correct range for a 2998-61. Dial: correct dial with no Ts around swiss made. Lume plots show signs of age. Hands: has correct 2998 hands with triangle in hour hand. It also has the correct stick subdial hands for this subreference. Bezel: correct DON bezel for a 2998. Shows some age as visible in photos but overall still apealing. Band: band is a 7912 flatlink bracelet in nice condition. All springs work properly and dated 61 to match the 61 of the 2998. Also included are correct 6 end links which are getting pretty hard to find. The watch has just came back from STS for a full service and running in top shape. I will include receipt from STS with service details. While at STS I had them give it a service, fit a nice new DON bezel on it, fit new correct pushers, and relume the hands to match the dial. The receipt says they also lightly refinished the case but they did not do any changes to the case. Speedmaster101 values a 2998-61 head only at $20,000. I am asking $20,000 net to me for the watch with the 7912 and correct endlinks included. Would like to see it go to a good home. Payment by bank wire to my HSBC account. Shipping and insuranced priced at cost to the buyer depending on location. Any questions please PM me. Thanks OF for the space! Photos: Ive had a few requests for photos in different lighting so including these 2. Can take better ones in the morning.
no confusion at all because you mentioned your asking price is based on speedmaster101 which is in US$.
Adding some more photos and receipt from STS. I'll be in the US next week if it helps for shipping. Will be in LA and Orlando if face to face is possible. Will let it go for $18,000 head only or $20,000 for the band included.
Forgot to mention all the parts replaced in service are included. This includes: the pushers, glass, gasket, and a very nice faded DON insert:
I think if it had listed with that faded DON installed it would have been sold a looooong time ago. Also..."I forgot to mention this watch includes an extra DON" isn't something you see very often. GLWS!
