This 2998-5 from 1962 was purchased from ‘Vintage Omega/Somlo Antiques’ in London in 2016. I know - I probably overpaid - Burlington Arcade rents are expensive! It was serviced by them prior sale, and actually still has just over a month of their own warranty left on it. I’m selling, as I’m going through a consolidation phase (so I tell the Mrs, ha!), and I just don’t wear this one. I prefer the twisted lug cases. I think it’s attractive, and overall in good shape, but it’s not perfect - hopefully that is reflected in the price - $21,000 net to me (wire transfer preferred) shipped and insured overnight priority CONUS (other options can be discussed). Private sale, returns not accepted unless I’ve grossly mis-stated something, which I don’t think I have! Feel free to ask any questions prior to sale. As a baseline, I’ve taken William’s ( @Spacefruit ) excellent http://speedmaster101.com/price-chart-2/ resource, and tried to adjust for the issues as I see them, intending a relatively quick sale. The only thing that does not look original to me is the crown, which is a wide Omega service crown. It comes on a 1039 bracelet with 506 endlinks.
