Hi All, I need to raise some funds for another project. So up for sale, is my Omega Speedmaster 2998-1. Unfortunately, it’s not a ‘straightforward’ watch. The dial appears to be a slightly later A5, the movement has a serial number (16.6m) earlier than the normally seen range and the crown is a later replacement. I’m not an expert, but I suppose it’s just inside the realms of possibility that the watch was assembled with a bunch of components from Omega assembly parts available at the time – but unlikely. Nonetheless – it’s a very nice watch – runs great, keeps decent time and all functions operate correctly. The DON bezel is in pretty good shape and whilst the dial shows some deterioration in the lume, the printing is in great shape. The case has been polished in the past but still retains plenty of ‘body’. Being sold as ‘head only’. I’m not too sure where to price this, but hopefully it’s not too unreasonable at UK £17k. Shipping and ParcelPro insurance included. NOW REDUCED TO UK £14k OR NEAR OFFER - PART TRADE MAY ALSO BE CONSIDERED. I’m happy to answer any questions and send additional pictures. Thanks for looking and to the Omega Forum for the facility.
Bump and substantial reduction to UK £14k inc shipping etc. Happy to listen to near offers or possibly part trades.
