This is a Speedmaster I wasn't planning on selling, but with a potential grail purchase coming up, I'm freeing up funds. I will list another watch in the next few days, whichever sells first, sells. The other probably stays.

For sale is a very nice condition Omega Speedmaster 145.022 dating back to 1987. This watch has very rarely been worn, as is plain to see from the remaining wax residues on the back of the watch, the near pristine bracelet and the very minor wear marks throughout. It comes as an absolutely full set on a relatively rare and long 1450 bracelet. This could be the perfect '87 birth year Speedy!

Please find an assessment of the watch below. I have attempted to be as brutally honest as can be. Also note that I am not the first owner of this watch. Hence I cannot guarantee originality of parts, although after having handled dozens of 80s and 90s Speedmasters, I like to think I know what I am looking at...

Dial: The original dial with all lume plots perfectly in tact. The lume has aged to a very attractive, yellow shade and has lost most of its luminous qualities as one would expect of a ±40 yrs old piece. Dial body colour is anthracite. The printing is perfectly okay too. A highlight of this watch.

Hands: Original Tritium hand set with pleasing lume. No paint loss.

Case: Sharp. It looks unmolested and only shows some light signs of wear. Some hairline scratches but overall in very good condition. Caseback is in perfect order and even carriers some bits of the red wax seal that sealed the caseback when it was first delivered of the factory. Note that the plexiglass does not have an Omega logo, which apparently happened more often in the late 80s and early 90s. The profile is exactly similar to other Omega-signed plexis so I believe it is original. Moreover, under some light conditions it has a blueish shine. Very special and a rare trait, occurring only on late 80s pieces (with unsigned plexi, like this one).

Bezel: Original bezel in very good condition. In the pictures a little hair above the T in Tachymetre might appear as a scratch, it isn't...

Movement and Serial: A trusty 861 manual wound movement which is running well. In the serial range of 482xxxxx. I have not inspected the movement as the watch was allegedly serviced when I acquired it less than a year ago. It would be a pity to damage the seals in the process.

Bracelet: A nicely long 1450 bracelet, up to and including the rather rare quick release spring bar that these bracelets for some reason came with. Comfortably fits up to a 19cm wrist circumference.

Package: Full set. That is, box, papers, filled out warranty card (dated to August 28th, 1987) and the hang tag bearing the correct serial number.

Shipped worldwide at buyers expense, although I would strongly prefer a F2F deal in the Netherlands given the value of this piece and the added benefit of meeting a fellow OF-member in person.

No returns, please ask questions and extra pictures in advance. I am not making a habit out of selling, but I do have quite some - exclusively positive - references as a seller and buyer on this forum and could share more.

Reference contacts and LinkedIn profile available upon request.

Price: EUR 5650 (net to me, excluding shipping)

Probably shouldn’t sell this… but anyway. Here’s your chance.
