Because I like it: Full disclosure. My pictures will back up the statements made in the description. If you feel things are unclear or missing, just let me know. Where is the watch from: It was bought by me from a member here around 2 months ago, in a quite neglected state..which is a good thing, because it means no one prepared the bride for a wedding. It came as it was, battered, dirty, worn. Just used for maybe the last 25+ years. Still visible though was that it's beautiful underneath the dirt and wear....though before I glide into a philosophical excurse: this is what I prefer very much over prepared, polished watches with lots of makeup in their face and no charmes. Why am I selling? This watch was ment for a friend, it would have been his first vintage, in fact his first relevant Watch. He'd payed the watch, my kickstart Birthday-present for him would have been paying the movement service and the Extract from the Archives. He is quite sad now, due to personal circumstances he can't afford to buy it now or in the near future. I could keep it but something big might be coming in which needs solid funding. What did I do to / change on the Watch? - sourced a correct Tritium Square-end Chronohand, it came with a - not unatractive but wrong - drop end hand. - disassembled it, cleaned case, bezel, removed spots and dirt, removed the old seal ring and all of its remains, which after decades turned into sort of a nasty coal-chalk-lava mixture. - Cleaned a spotty area around the hour subdial ( I know what I'm doing and how) the dial is absolutely clean now. - Had the movement serviced by my local watchmaker who can handle a 861. I invested time, money, care and..yes, love in this piece and will charge for a fraction of that. CONDITION: GENERAL: A well worn toolwatch, dings on the case, horns, crown and one pusher, none impacting functionality. A beautiful daily wearer. Has at least 4 watchmaker service marks so whoever owned it wore it as supposed to but at the same time took really care of what is important to keep it working. CASE: unpolished with marks & dings from 40 years of use, though textures and edges present, sharp as to be expected from a unpolished case. DIAL: Medium S - Flat Dial, MWO Type C2. Tritium. Lume fully present on all markers, nice greenish hue as typical for this period. Flawless dark black coloured. Original Tritium-hands with slighty different aged lume. Hands and Dial glow after initial charging them under UV-Light for a while. BEZEL: DNN with some battle-scars, slightly faded MOVEMENT: excellent condition, Fully serviced in April 2018. CRYSTAL: Original, Omega signed. The Watch comes with: - Documents: Extract from the Archives, Delivered on 7/7/77 to Switzerland. receipt from the Movement Service. - Black Hirsch Artisan leather bracelet. Bought it for the Watch. - I might consider to sell a matching 1175/640 (Dated August 1977) for the watch, but that will have to be negociated separately. My asking price is 3200 Euro. I'm easy to negociate with when I get your point. If you have questions, please feel free to ask as well. The watch is located in Germany. Shipping & other organisational things can be agreed on individually. Thanks OF for the Space. And everything else you provide. Regards Ralf All Pictureas are Hi-Res. Now not only becoming a Birth-year, but also Birth-month Speedy. Going to a great new home which makes me happy! Thank you OF.. and all of its inmates of course!
The Mooncrater on the top left lug is actually from the lightning. It is actually just a hard dent from a hit and not very prominent in reality. Some pictures to illustrate it.
