Hi OF, With some trepidation, I have for sale my Omega Speedmaster 145.022-74ST. It’s a wonderful watch that I’ve taken great pleasure in owning, but unfortunately I have to pass it on. If you’re looking for a daily wearer vintage speedy, look no further. Make no mistake, this watch is not a safe queen. The case is in fair but unpolished condition, with some pitting and scratches on the lugs/flanks and caseback. Where this watch really shines is the dial and bezel, both of which have faded to a beautiful gray color. The tritium lume on the dial is intact and still glows under UV light. I do believe that the hands have been color matched to the dial at some point as they do not glow. Crystal is original and in perfect condition. The crown is a service replacement and is not correct. However, I have acquired what I believe to be the correct crown for this reference (pictured below), which will be included in the sale for the buyer to install if they so desire. Speedy experts, please let me know if this crown is not correct either—it was removed from a 145.022-68 if I’m not mistaken. The watch has not been serviced in my posession and the service history is unknown. It runs very well and everything functions as it should. Chrono resets to zero as it should. Sold as is. Movement and caseback photos are from the previous seller, reproduced here with permission. My asking price is $3600 shipped, or best offer. Payment via PayPal F&F (or add 3%). US sale strongly preferred; face to face available in Northern Virginia. Included in the sale will be the watch, correct crown, and a bond NATO. Leather strap pictured is not included. I have references as a buyer and seller on OF and elsewhere that I can provide if necessary. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
