    Hi all,

Duly allowed by the mods I'm happy to offer to the OF community this excellent piece I bought last year from marturx.

The watch is really excellent. Unpolished. Crown and pushers that are commonly changed at service are original on this one. Nice patina on the dial and hands.

The bezel is excellent and untouched. The outer ring of the bezel, the metal part of it, has a little ding (shown on pictures).

Correct serial number for a 220 bezel: serial 30.99 mil.

Service history is unknown but it's keeping great time.

    Head only.

    Pictures are from marturx.

I'm asking USD5500. Payment can be made by paypal + fees or bank transfer. Watch is located in Sao Paulo, Brazil and can be sent by EMS, Fedex or DHL.

    Thanks

Have you maybe got an extract from Omega for this watch?

I have a 220 with a 30.598.xxx serial which was produced on december 16th, 1970. According to the observations, the 220 bezels were used from fall 1970 till latest jan 1971 so it would really be interesting to know when this one was produced with the serial 30.99x.xxx

Maybe you can PM me the full serial and I can double check with the museum, for research purposes ?

In any case, a very nice watch from a transitional period from the Premoon phase (DON) to the post-moon (DNN) with that uncommon misprint 220 bezel which is always a funny story to tell around a beer with watch friends.

    Good luck with selling ;)

No, I have not the extract for this watch. But it's on the serial range for a 220 bezel according to MWO book and everything discussed here on other OF threads.
The serial range for the 220 bezel, if I'm not wrong, is between 30.589.xxx and 31.000.xxx, production between August and December 1970.
    Thanks! ;)

Made some research and found this :

Yours being from the same serial range, was then most probably also produced around november 1970 and totally correct for a 220 bezel

I should have searched before asking :p

I think, MWO has not covered the whole range of the 220ies. The latest one which I've seen has serial 310039..., beginning of 1971.

Let me chime in. OP, Olivier in Brazil, French native, bought that watch last year from me. It's my pictures.

The watch is gorgeous. Olivier is 100% good guy. Deal with in confidence.

He offered me to buy the watch back, and I was VERY tempted to do so, but since I already have an almost NOS 220 bezel Speedy, I finally declined.

    The price is very fair

Congrats to the buyer beforehand on a lovely watch!

    Interesting

    Mine is 309922xx

Needs a few bits to make it right as they have been changed at some point in its life at service.
