    Provenance

I bought this watch from a Seiko dealer in the Philippines in early 2012. It did not run, and the hands were a mess.

I then sent it to Swiss Time Services who serviced it, repainted the hands and then I stored it in a temperature and humidity controlled safe.

This work was done in 2012 and I do not have the paperwork for it - its a bit of an ask to get them to dig up five year old paperwork as I do not have their reference - I will keep looking it might turn up. However I will guarantee the movement for 12 months personally. Get the watch back to me and I will solve any movement issues.

    Condition
This watch is totally original except for repainted hands, and has a corroded case and slightly brown dial.

The bezel is the correct DO90 and very slightly blue, and shows some damage.

The case is corroded and will not pass waterproofing. It is worse at the lugs.

Here we can see an overview of the corrosion.

When we look at the movement shot you can see the gasket lip is only slightly affected. - it is mostly at the lugs. It is a typical "Tropical" watch. Note new pushers:

Movement is robust but not pristine. There are minor marks on some of the steel components - this is cosmetic. Swiss Time serviced it in 2012. I do not have the paper but I will guarantee the movement myself for 12 months.

The case back screws in smoothly and correctly - sometimes if a case is corroded the threads suffer but not in this case - the corrosion is exterior.

Period correct dust cover. Case back lip shows no corrosion:

I have fitted an unworn, hand made strap from my collection - I like to choose leather and have it made into straps. Makes no financial sense at all, but the watches look beautiful on them so I cannot help it.

My macro lens does not like being that far away...

    Why am I selling?
I have reached a Nirvana, and have other examples of this reference.

    SALES TERMS

I only sell to refocus my collection.

I am not motivated by profit alone and so I have no reason to embellish or over describe. I have been on ebay since 2002 with 100% feedback. I have bought and sold a few watches on www.OmegaForums.net and you can find my feedback by searching my username. I am the author of www.Speedmaster101.com and protecting my reputation comes first.

Ideally this would be a face to face, but otherwise I will arrange delivery in UK or USA. Other places by arrangement. (HK in June).

Returns are welcome if you don’t cost me anything to get it back to me and the watch is in the same condition as it arrived with you.

I am a private collector who rarely sells. When I do, most of the time my watches sell very quickly, and to the first person that PM’s me with the words, “I will buy this watch now at your price”.

    I believe in full disclosure.

In the past several people have been upset because although they are the first to reply, they ask if I can do a better price – meanwhile someone has agreed my price.

I am not in the slightest bit offended by offers, but remember that they will only make sense if the watch remains unsold after a few days.

Delivery can usually be facilitated almost anywhere

    Payment
Payment by Bank Transfer is preferred for these larger amounts to my HSBC bank in Hong Kong in Pounds or US dollars or Hong Kong Dollars. (Not Euros sorry). I propose we both exchange ID copies and speak by phone to feel comfortable. Face to face with cash is always welcome.

The lume is mostly all gone - that can be clearly seen, but there is something that colours the plots to an attractive colour.

Thanks for all the interest and messages on this one, it got a lot of attention.

Once again the winner said the magic words,

"I will buy it now at your price"

    Off to a Swedish OF.

    Congratulations.
