Dear OF family - out of my personal collection, for sale is a stunningly beautiful Omega Speedmaster 105.12.66HF. Watch is in amazingly original condition, given it's age. Overall, it's a very attractive moon watch, it has all the essentials for being a classic timepiece. Watch has been in my possession for 3 years, spending most of it's time in a climate controlled safe. I'm selling a handful of watches to refocus my collection on neo-vintage timepieces. Dial & Hands: The main attraction for me when I purchased the watch was undoubtedly the dial. It's what sings to you when you first look at your wrist, pictures truly don't do justice. The original long hour markers have patinated to a gorgeous pumpkin color and are fully intact. Exposed to direct sunlight, the dial comes to life. There are no scratches or blemishes to speak of, it is one of the rare survivors. The hands compliment the dial quite nicely and have been professionally color matched. Case: to my eyes it's unpolished and is quite nice with sharp lugs. The watch has original period correct 24 tooth crown and fat-neck pushers. The caseback is original with seahorse engraving very visible. The reference number engraving inside caseback also intact. Movement: period correct 24,953,xxx serial, everything functions and operates properly. The watch winds smoothly and keeps good time. At the time of purchase, my watchmaker advised against service. Previous owner stated service was performed back in '17. Strap: band new high quality JPM leather strap. If you're looking for a beautiful, original, and honest Moonwatch with killer patina, then look no further, this watch will blow you away when you see it in the flesh, while not breaking the bank. Priced attractively at $9,750 (lowball offers will be politely ignored and flagged), includes overnight shipping and insurance within CONUS. International shipping at buyers expense. I only accept wires at this time. Returns: only if not as described, shipping at buyers expense. I have been a contributing member of this forum for quite sometime and have solid references. Thanks for looking! -A
Usually when I read “killer patina” I brace myself for the bile, but this is spectacular and a quintessential example of “patina”.
Beautiful example of a good, honest watch with stunning patina. If I didn't already have a '66 CB I, like Aludic, would also be all over i!
