Thank you sir, may we have an introduction?. May we have more pictures please?. May we have some more history of the watch please?.
Are you attempting to buy this watch?. If so, how much?
If you wish to solicit help and advice you will need to provide more information.

    Good afternoon,
My name is Loic b. This watch is mine but I d like some infos as it was bought in the late 50s by my father. I know its a 2998 2. And someone told me that the dial is not original, I m sceptical so i d like your advise. And if so can i get an original dial ? What would cost this watch as is it ( for insurance purpose) thanks

Loic, in order to give you an accurate opinion of this watch you will need to provide more pictures. We will need pictures of the entire case and the movement. Based on the one picture you provided, the dial and the hands have been replaced. To return this watch to original will be a daunting task and most likely at great expense. Your watch has substantial value but it has been compromised. We can only guess to what extent the value has been affected until you provide more pictures.

PS the bracelet is not original to the watch.

    Hello

It appears (unfortunately) that the dial, bracelet and hands were changed during a service. At least the base 1000 bezel survived.

The correct dial was only offered on the 2998-1 and 2 and is very difficult to source. Replacement cost for a good dial is approx $10,000, hands $1500 - $2500. The bracelet is also a replacement. A correct 7077 with 6 end links would cost approx $3-4,000.

    Good luck!
