    Regarding the date flip, this watch uses a movement that has a semi-instantaneous date mechanism, and with this style you will start to see the date indicator move in the date window before it finally flips, so that is perfectly normal.

    Not sure I really follow the second question, but when the watch is running all the hands should be moving. Possibly a coincidental stop at the same number of minutes as the current hour, and the watch started running again when you picked it up. As long as it continues to run fine, then there's nothing to worry about.
