    Hi all,

I came across this Seamaster De Ville Cal Cal #670 on eBay and it's up for auction. Buyer (not a specialist in Omega's) claims the dial and crown are original and that there are obvious signs of wear and age. I'm a newbie so any feedback would be appreciated.

    Cheers!

The second hand (and the others) would put me off unless the price was very bearable.

That's a tiny movement for a gents watch and may be problematic to get serviced/parts.

    Better stuff out there.

That not a full sized watch is it? 30mm perhaps?

Yep, the caliber 670 is only 18mm dia, so even with the huge looking dial, it would only be contemporary "mid size" at best.

Edit: That's why the crown looks so big in some shots.

...Pretty sure it's a 31-32mm watch. Look up the reference number - 165.004.

Unless it is dirt cheap, stay clear. And if it is dirt cheap, stay clear anyway.
