So what have we got here
.
Another Watchco?
I don't think so.
Unlike a lot of Watchcos (my use of a now generic term), this is a great example of one of the most iconic Omega diver watches ever made.
Sure, it's got service parts and an old donor movement. But the service parts are exactly what Omega Switzerland would replace if you sent your 300 to Bienne.
And while the movement is a "donor", the refurbishment, adjusting and testing that's been done would probably make it better than any original floating around.
Another thing I like is the LWC branding, this isn't going to be passed of as "my Uncle left me this Omega". It has a history from the 1960s, and now it's history begins again.
Is the price too high?
I don't think so.
Consider the cost of:
the actual 300 parts (case, crystal, dial (date wheels), crown, stem, seals.),
the donor movements,
the OEM refurbishment parts,
the labour time for all of the cleaning, inspecting, assembling, testing,
the documentation and
original Omega boxing/packaging.
I'm in no way affiliated with the seller but I do like to see a good honest product, this is one of them.
