    Hi,

i have a question regarding my SM3oo (From 1970 approx) and its bracelet.
Very happy with the watch and the bracelet that came along with it.
The former owner promised me it was all original bracelet...and I believe in older gentleman :)

But I have googled and read up and down on the net to find this configuration without success.
The clasp says 1039 and 3.70 and I think it reads "no13" in the stamped ring on the left of "steelinox".
End links have no markings so probably aftermarket or spares from somewhere.

When I search for 1039 I get another bracelet. If I find a Speedy bracelet they aren't folded in the links like mine?

    So what I wonder is:
Is it a original Speedy bracelet with a Seamaster clasp?
Is the bracelet aftermarket and clasp original?
    Or what is it!?

    thanks in advance.

    Best regards H

I hate to say this but I don't think it's what it was sold to you as. Definitely not a 1039. It could be a 1171 with 1039 clasp or a Chinese knockoff with a 1039 clasp or other possibilities. There are others on the board that are far more knowledgeable who will chime in, eventually.

Weird. Looks like a genuine 1039 clasp, but that isn't a 1039 bracelet attached to it. Almost looks like a 1450 bracelet, but I think it's just generic.

Generic bracelet and ends with a 1039 clasp.

The fold over construction of the links are the tell here. The 1171 etc would have solid links.

Thanks for all the help! Ill save the clasp then!

Heres the head on the alligator strap.
its in vg condition but a chip in the sword is annoying...but you can't have it all I guess... :)

That's true, now that you mention it.
