Autism, the watch in the original post is quite over polished, as Dennis stated, and the dial is blemished...its overpriced. The SM 600 you posted from Norman (X350 XJR) is in very nice shape and sold quickly and he has these for sale every once in a while. In fact I purchased a SM 600 with date from Norman back in July/August in outstanding shape with original Omega buckle for less than one in origional post. If you want a nice one be patient these are fairly common, as vintage watches go, a nice one will pop up sooner or later.

What about this one http://montreal.kijiji.ca/c-acheter...ster-14-KGF-Automatic-1961-W0QQAdIdZ544437392 He agrees to let it for $400 - good price or average?
"Fantastic Omega Seamaster Automatic 24 jewels (552 Cal. Omega swiss movement) 14 K Gold Fill, 34.5 mm Circa 1961.
Complete maintenance in 2012, keeps perfect time, incredible for a 52 year old watch. Crystal is in excellent shape, case has very slight wear. Aftermarket leather bracelet in good condition. Way prettier in person than pics."

I'd get a patternless simple brown leather band
